School Girl Pics

our day started early. friday preschool class scheduled pictures taken at 9:00. luckily i had the outfit picked out the night before. its gymbo prep school line - how appropriate. its the plaid jumper style dress, tights and navy lamour maryjanes. she's not keen on photographers, so i made a deal. smile for camera and we'll do a donut date afterwards. just the two of us go to this local donut shop and have breakfast. i have my usual - coffee & old fashion chocolate. ariana picked her chocolate sprinkle one and a couple donut holes. by the time we made it back home, it was getting warm. so off went the tights and dress, on went a skirt from gymbo petite mademoiselle. as the weather got cooler, navy footless tights and a gap navy sweater.

Apple Again

on one of my gymbo boards, we are having a dress-a-like thread. every day of the week they pick a line and you post a picture. if you dont own it, then you wear something similar. today is cupcake cutie. we dont have anything, so we matched the brown/color polka dot theme. with the weather taking a turn, i was ready to call it a pajama day. instead i put on these brown leggings with a pink "chicago 05" tshirt that her godmother ninang gave when she was a baby. ariana gave me the "i'm not a princess anymores"when she doesnt have a dress on. on went the marshall's apple one again.

AAdorable

not only is A for adorable, but its for ARIANA too. how could i not buy this top. gymbo from the prep school line, even the matching shoes. the navy playwear capris are from gap. can you imagine we were in high 80-90 degrees weather yesterday like it was a hot summers day, and today it took a huge turn well into fall. more than 15 deg lower, overcast, windy. we spent most of the day in the house in her bedroom, actually putting her summer dresses away making room for all her fall wardrobe. only to venture outside really to get the mail, and hung around in the garage til dad came home from work.

Gardener For Hire

i was telling my neighbors and sil that josh isnt coming home this weekend and the lawns needs to be mowed. when they asked who's gonna do it - byron?? we should've taken bets, cuz seriously i dont remember the last time he ever mowed the lawn (let alone do yard work). we had carlos since we bought the house and then josh was home during the summer. i wont even let him put xmas lights on the house, cuz he will never go back out and take them down. the one time he did, i took them off the bushes and trees. the lights on the roof were left on for years til we got a new roof & gutters. funny cuz he tried to get out of it saying it wasnt that long, and something about where if it flops its good for grass like shading it. i went into details describing the blades are suppose to stand up straight and describing how they were flopping over. see i know when the lawn needs to be mowed. believe it or not and for the record, byron mowed the front & back. wheres the camera, i should've taken a picture.
ariana is wearing baby lulu (from costco). temperature is still up there. in fact even in this outfit she said she was "perspiring". probably from all the excitement with dad doing yard work, she got in a couple rounds of tag where she's never "it". and king daddy had to rescue her from the tower (play structure). prince mommy (me) was taking a break.

Scorchin' Saturday

it is unbearably HOT today like close to 100 degrees. we didnt even dare to venture outside til late afternoon. went to post office to mail out birthday party invites. had dinner at TGIFridays - they are still accepting the 2 dinners for $20 deal. 12 piece shrimp appetizer, 2 entrees and share a dessert. ariana had usual mac&cheese kids meal. i bring her apple juice cup from home, so i get her drink. i order a diet coke and they put it in the kids plastic cup with the lid. i dont mind, its free plus refills. i actually dressed ariana in something that shes worn before. the gymbo tennis (turtle) match green seersucker one. but it was sooooooo hot, too hot to take a picture. by the time i remembered for the blog, it was too late and in gymbo pj's already.

Pre-School Princess

ariana wanted to go to the gym (gymnastic school) and to pre-school today. open gym is at 11:00 and school is at 1:00. sorry we cant do both on fridays. school it was, and imagine the excitement when she saw her bff registering for the class too. the girls made it to the play kitchen area. ariana took a seat and next thing you know it - all the girls were serving her as they were pulling food out. she told dad that "a girl made breakfast at preschool for me - cookies and apples on a plate." i left observing her when ariana moved on to the play-clay table, and the other girls followed. she told me she made a flower and i asked her how. "first you roll it with a rolling thing with no handles, a paint rolling brush like kuya used to paint the walls. spring flower cookie cutter and push it in." i asked her if they went out in the playgound. "you mean my palace?" ariana was a princess up at the top of the slide. the other kids needed help walking up the palace stairs. her and bff pulled them soooo tight (tugged) and helped them up. she said the boys didn't listen. guess we need to explain she's a princess at home, but cant be one at school all the time. she kinda understands what we're talking about cuz she said "we were playing imagination like on barney".
my 2-hours-to-kill went fine while she's in school. i went to LBC to send money off to the philippines and to city beach to pickup waivers for bday invites. then went to starbucks enjoying my free vivanno (coupon expires 09/30). perfect drink on a hot indian summers day, ordered strawberry banana. next time i'll try the chocolate banana, the other coupon is half-price.
we went thru ariana's shoe bin. her foot grew and we pulled out 10 pairs that are too small. we had these ralph polo patchwork hi-tops size 8, bought when she was a baby. so we dressed around the shoes, plus cant wear sandals at school. ariana is wearing gap seaside whale top with navy shorts. i realized she wore the dress last week on the first day. this top ran big and a loopie gave me this size 2T to use, i passed down the 12-18 months. the gap navy shorts are size 4T.

IKKS Red Dress

ariana called for dad several times this morning. woke me up and i thought "omg byron overslept and he'll be late for work". it was the other way around - we woke up late and he left early. we called him and ariana said "you didnt even say good morning to me." ariana is wearing IKKS, a french european children clothes brand with a casual comfortable look. i love their summer lines especially if nautical-sailor look. this red tank dress was a ebay-loopie lot score. red sweetheart saltwaters.

Jen-Jen

we received sad news from the philippines last night, my uncle tio pepe passed away. Atty Jose Bunyi RayosdelSol. there are 8 kids on my moms side, with my mom being the oldest who will turn 88 come oct 2nd. tio pepe is 2 years younger. he is preceded in death by tio peping and auntie lonie (the youngest). tio pepe was amazed and interested in so many things, and said things like robin in batman. by golly! wow wee! i remember when the internet was getting popular in the late 90's, commercials on tv would display the websites. he had asked me "what is the W-W-W dot so and so for?"
ariana is wearing a jen-jen dress. one of my pieces from posh punkins boutique tent sale last month. she calls the pom-pom balls on the hem "poofies".

First Day of Fall

(autumnal equinox) minus (last day of summer) equals indian summer. it happens to be the HOTTEST day in the bay area, we probably hit 90 in union city. perhaps one degree cooler each day for the rest of the week. it was more like winter solstice in colorado getting SNOW last nite. and i saw on the news the floods in atlanta. i always tell everybody that it costs so much in california becuz "we pay for our weather." you would think its time to wear fall colors - orange or brown. most things with those colors are long sleeved or corduroy, and in happens to be packed in 2 storage bins. gymbo line mixing today. social butterfly patchwork shorts with pretty lady(bug) smock top, and social butterfly shoes. we've worn both pieces before but within their respective line. aunt jamima strikes again. the last time she wore these shorts - she did the same thing. silly nana.

Surfer Girl

gymbo beachshack was last years tropical line. the surfer girl tank size 3T. the shorts are this terry knit material, infact ariana called them "towel shorts". notice the matching flipflops. today we kinda moped around, as we were both probably missing joshua. somebody told me that in their country its bad luck to clean the room right after someone leaves the house. not that i'm superstitious or anything, remember i cleaned his room last week when he made his first trip. so we spent most of the day out in the garage to stay cool. what i did find myself doing - is going thru 2 boxes of joshs clothes that he left, mostly fall winter long-sleeved stuff. he doesnt need them now, as its warmer down in san luis obispo than its here.
you know when i use to put josh to bed - he would ask for everything and anything to stay awake. read a book, tell a story, rub his eyes, scratch his back. the best one was "can't go to bed without a snack", like he was going to starve thru the nite. he still tells me "itchy" expecting me to scratch his back (wishful thinking). ariana is picking up kuya joshua's bedtime ritual. she wants her back rubbed instead, only this time she says "under" meaning to go under her shirt/nitegown. funny cuz josh used to say "i cant feel" instead. tonight i was rubbing ariana's back, i removed my hand thinking she was fast asleep. she said "i still want under". byron just looks at me saying my babies are s-p-o-i-l-e-d and trying to figure out when its his turn for a massage.

Summer's End

for the record - i made breakfast today. B.A. (before ariana) i use to cook breakfast every weekend - eggs, potatoes, bacon, biscuit and all. now A.A. (after ariana) since she was born almost 4 years ago, the guys have fended for themselves. i make ariana a full breakfast every morning and feed her, altho lately shes been feeding herself. i'm not a breakfast person and good as long as i have my coffee & cookie diet.
it's so HOT today that we just tried to stay cool at home. plus joshua is packing up for college again, classes start on tuesday. he did manage to do some last minute things around the house - laundry, vacuum, trim the backyard, etc. both the front & back look pretty good where he keeps pointing out "i think carlos (ex-gardener) was here." carlos was our gardener that we let go. josh went out to the watermelon patch the other day. he noticed one wasnt getting any bigger and probably sucking the nutrients to the rest of the garden. ariana picked a little one saying it was "sick". the big one weighed in at 6 lbs, altho she'll tell you 38 with her on the scale. we cut it open today to celebrate summer's end. afterall the first day of fall (autumn equinox) is this tuesday sept 22nd. ariana is wearing these shorts from old navy (got from a loopie). the print is a colorful tropical hula girls, she had a baby dress in this before. paired with a basic gymbo smock top. aloha.

Pretty Lady Hula

ariana always wants to wear pink. it is too too hot to wear her favorite one with long sleeves from hanna andersen. she picked gymbo pretty lady(bug) dress. yes this is a repeat, even tho there are dresses hanging still nwt (new with tags) yet to be worn. hopefully our indian summer will get us thru october. if not, most of her outfits should still fit her next year unless she goes thru a growth spurt. the headband is made by melanie, it has a toggle in the back and some sticky stuff so it will stay (it worked). hint melanie is taking orders. the shiny patent fuchsia pink saltwaters, i specifically bought them to match this gymbo line.

we saw a block sale sign posted, like i really need to buy things. i'm suppose to be cleaning out my garage remember? it was down the street and around the corner, where we actually walked around one big block. guess we ventured out late as only 3 houses were left selling things. for $3 bucks i got ariana this hawaii tahitian hula skirt for play. she likes wearing the top cuz it has "pointy deh-deh's".

First Day at Pre-School

today was ariana FIRST day at pre-school. its only on fridays 1:00-3:00 for a couple of hours. she was so excited to get dressed and wanted apples for her snack. she asked if i was going to leave her there all by herself, then said "dont cry for me ok". the teacher told the parents to leave and they'll be fine. ariana did great, it was me - i was a mess. i sat in the car and called byron - he was shocked a lil bit that it went well without a hitch. a lil choked up realizing our baby girl is growing up, small steps at a time. i ended up getting lunch and waited it out at my mom's house, it felt like the longest 2 hours ever. this goes on til the end of the year. then come january will try 2 days a week for 3 hours a day. whats a momma to do? when she goes into kinderG, i'm getting the spa treatment. i'm suppose to put ariana in something comfortable and play clothes (yes we own some) for pre-school. but its to hit high 90s this afternoon and keep in mind its easier to go potty by herself wearing a dress (tmi i know, but you have to think of these things). she is wearing AGAIN the gap seaside whale-line patchwork dress. no sandals allowed at preschool, so our favorite gap sneakers will do. hmmm, luckily we just got a bunch of pairs from mimi.

Dentist - No Go

ariana flat out REFUSED to go thru "the doors" for her dental appt. i have been prepping her all week that she gets to lay down on the lounge chair that goes up and down. open your mouth for the dentist to count them. we pretended josh was the dentist. so now she says kuya already counted them up to 20, therefore no need for the doctor to do it. the office has this state of the art digital xray machine, so she has to smile and have her picture taken. dr cherry made it to the top 3 people she doesnt like, along with santa and the easter bunny. the dentist happens to be filipino and ariana chose to call her "tita cherry". i kept saying the dentist is my friend... see you have to take the "doctor" part out. it worked. tita cherry ended up talking to ariana in the lobby, checking out her teeth at the same time. we went to the mall afterwards and the picture people approached us. guess they werent busy and offered free 10x13. out of all days - i really didnt dress ariana up since we just came from the dentist. hey anything for a freebie. the only thing is they ended up coming out really good and she got along with the photographer, so it might cost me some $$ afterall. ariana wore these pants from hartstrings (children boutique store chain), yellow top and sneakers from gap.

Gap Medi

gap mediterranean. out of all the dresses we have (and we have ALOT), this is my all time favorite that she has worn the most - this is probaby the fourth time. i love navy blue and how its mixed with this green & white. this line hit gap outlet this year, so i was able to pick up the top and bermuda shorts in this print too.

J&J Mixing

this time we mixed lines from janie & jack. vibrant garden sweater top with fresh daisies khaki pants. lately when ariana wakes up in the morning, she calls for byron. instead of a good morning mommy, its been "where's daddy?" or "where'd daddy go?". if he left for work already, she'll say "daddy forgot to say good morning." today her body clock caught up so she can eat breakfast with him. as byron was going out the door, she told him "dont forget to come home." then when dad comes home from work, ariana drops whatever she's doing and cover her eyes standing in the doorway. she's hiding. funny she thinks if she cant see you, then you cant see her. surprise!

Monday Mix

mixing brands today. gymbo tea garden top (4T). i had other pieces from this line but they dont fit her. mixed it with a pair of cargo pants from naartjie. i usually buy dresses there, but these pants look really comfortable to wear around the house.

Sunday Stay Home

these ribbon jeans were custom made by sam readersfive@aol.com. they were m2m nautical or FoJ outfits. this is sam's forte' - ribbon skirts, jeans, capris. you just tell her what line or what dress you want it for, and she'll coordinate the ribbons.

Mimi's Birthday - Knot Dress

oh this weather is crazy. the past 2 days we were in the 90's. can you believe thunderstorms last night, rain this morning and overcast? its remnants from hurricane linda. it turned out to be a perfect day just in the time for the party. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMELIA (aka mimi)!! i knew melanie was getting a custom tinkerbell dress made for mimi to wear at the party. had no idea it was a knot dress style. guess what i put on ariana? matilda jane westside abbi knot dress. pure coincidence. its a size 4 and very generous for her to grow into. the girls got purple fairy dust stars on the side of their face. we have been using mimi's bday as a marker, that ariana's birthday is next. mimi actual birthday is sept 19th about 2 weeks older than nana. you can imagine how excited ariana is getting, knowing hers is right around the corner. she thinks when we get home "then it'll be mine".

Remember - Patriot Day

remember to pause, reflect and pray. especially today 9/11. wow 8 years ago. where were you, what were you doing? "at home getting dressed to go to work (united airlines). when i saw the plane hit the first tower on the news, i thought its was a commercial or a movie preview. when i realized it was for reals, i panic. i told byron that they were headed to california, kind of like WWII after pearl harbor they attacked the philippines. i was trying to figure out where to go (like we have bomb shelters here). the first plane was american airlines, then it really hit home when united crashed. we didnt go to work and dropped joshua off at school (alvarado elementary). the office asked why he's late, and i yelled "dont you know what just happened!?! returned home and glued to the tv for the rest of the day." exactly one month later, the airlines did major layoffs. i didnt get on a plane for 6 months, and when i did - i headed for china complete opposite direction. right here in my hometown union city (california), theres a memorial http://www.flight93memorialsfb.com/ honoring those who were killed in the crash of Flight 93 EWR-SFO. many of those on board were bay area residents. some guy raised money to build a memorial on the west coast, and union city was the only one to give up the land. we went to new york in 2006 and visited ground zero - very moving experience. God Bless America. since that day, the terrorist attacks has affected the country, not only the airline industry but also our lives. one of the easiest days to dress ariana - something red/white & blue and cool to wear in 90 degree weather. gymbo navy stars shorts from flag girl line, for go the all american cutie top - too much 4th of july-ish. so a white simple gymbo smock tank.
kuya josh left to moved back in to college. this is his third year and you would think by now i would be used to his coming & goings. wrong. ariana and i spent the morning hanging out in his room - she played and i cleaned. we're talking major thoroughly cleaned where i dusted, swept the floor on my hands & knees with a dust pan, changed the bed, and more. i know one thing, i could be a rich woman for every water bottle (empty & half full) i found. funny thing is he'll be back home on monday, classes dont start til sept 21st. hey at least his room will be clean when he leaves again. a neighbor girl was walking home from high school and talked to ariana. she had asked "wheres your brother?" ariana usually says he's at college, instead she said "oh he's at cal poly."

Mixed Doubles

we are getting our indian summer here in the bay area or a late heatwave. its so hot today and even declared a "spare the air" day, and tomorrows is forecast to be a scorcher. we're hanging out in the garage where it tends to be cool. keeping her off both lawns - joshua fertilized them the other day as one of his last ditch to do things around the house before he starts packing up for college. ariana is wearing gymbo's tennis line called mixed doubles. both pieces are size 2T, and she turns 4 next month. the O in love is like a tennis ball patch. too hot to make it to the courts, altho we have ballet tonight. ariana surprised us by doing a forward roll, so she's been tumbling in the living room. maybe i should've signed her up for gymnastic instead.

the number of the day (say it in sesame street count dracula accent) is 9. september 9, 2009. the ninth day of the ninth month of the year, in the year 2009. chinese are big on the number 8. 9 comes in second, something about there are 9,999 rooms in the forbidden city. i only remember going into 10 rooms at the most when we went to beijing in 2002.

ariana is wearing gymbo ice cream social (ics) dress. its a size 3T which i doubt she'll be able to fit in when spring comes around next year. the bracelet has cupcakes and hearts on it, from sweeter than chocolate line. pink strappy saltwaters.

Sunset BoraBora

this is a ruffled-rumba style dress from gap, a gift from mel - i think mimi has the same. found out its from the sunset borabora line. its a size 3T which is a little short for my preference, but it would be falling off her small frame if it was any bigger. i would've have titled todays blog "sexy shoulders", but byron doesnt like me to use that word associated with his little girl.
ariana isnt into video games, probably becuz she doesnt see kuya playing them at home. his college roomies have 360 xbox and Wii in the dorm. josh had every single system that you can imagine - nintendo64, gameboy, ps2, xbox, etc. justin brought over his ION that he never got around to setting up. the playskool ion is an educational gaming system where your child appears on tv and IN the game. ariana played the shape and counting games. when the numbers game went to the next level for addition - she answered the questions correct. luckily there arent any controls cuz she needed her hands for this. 5 + 1, ariana would hold out 5 fingers on her lefthand, 1 finger on her right, counted them to 6, then picked the shape with 6 items in it. josh was like "mom, nana knows math." i have picture flashcards that we would play and count, and she does the calculator when dad pays the bills. she punches in big numbers on the calculator # + # = ## since she doesnt have enough fingers to those.

Labor Day White

the fashion rule "never wear white after labor day" came to mind when dressing ariana today. altho i never really follow it, i always have a pair of white pants in her wardrobe to wear throughout the year. so to meet the fashion faux-paux deadline, i pulled out what you call a white "beach" dress from gap.
cousin justin stopped by the house this afternoon. they played in the backyard on the swing set to running around playing tag. justin is my sister's son, 8 years old and in the 3rd grade. for a good while he was the baby in the family (and my favorite) til ariana was born.

I WON me some Matilda Jane

i won, i won. i read denise's blog on matildajaneclothing.com. can you imagine when i was reading it this morning - i saw my name as one of the winners. lately she has been having little contests for a countdown to the fall gypsy blue line launch. she asks a simple question - your curfew, fav bday gift, etc. believe me, she reads each and every one of the hundreds of comments (i try). one time denise asked what do you wonder about, she stayed up til 4:00 in the morning. byron calls the computer the "one-eye monster" where it sucks you in and glued to the monitor. the dell laptop is either my new bff i cant live without, or my ultimate nemesis. back to my winnings - the other day she asked for favorite movie and picked mine. i embedded "pick me, pick me" like the donkey on the movie shrek i my comment. "its a toss up - pretty woman and flash dance. i could watch those movies over and over again. love watching Ghost with dh, we would always catch it on cable. dont think we ever seen the whole thing from beginning to end. whoopi is a trip in that movie. infact our first dance wedding song was "unchained melody". alot of people were shocked why we picked such an oldie but goodie tune. around xmas time, we watch christmas story with ralphie. even hide an extra present under the tree for josh - dont shoot your eye out!" what did i win? a random art fair piece, set aside especially for lucky blog winners such as ME. sam (mj packer) picks out her most fav outfit which is probably a hard task to do. and she's gonna wrap it up all pretty to send it off. last time the platinum dress was wrapped in this tissue paper with a white/blue toile print of birds. of course i saved it (sentimental reasons). we wore mj outfits on friday and yesterday. is it karma or what, perhaps the mj gods looking down on us, or better yet - is there such a thing of mj fairies.

Sunday to Salinas

the weatherman says it will be sunny hitting 70 deg heading south. when i think of dressing ariana comfortable for the 2 hour drive trip - matilda jane. the sought after anna top with goldie ruffles. we wore these pieces before but never together. she put on her "party shoes" a simple white pair of maryjanes from target or walmart. afterall we are going to one "HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAMEYA!!". ariana has 2 cousins nicknamed mimi. one is african-american and the other is filipino-american. ariana asked "which one are we going to - my brown mimi or my white mimi's?" she considers herself brown, not really knowing her ethnicity of filipino, african, native american indian.

Running Errands

on weekend mornings ariana puts on her robe & houseshoes to go outside with daddy usually to get me the newspaper. but really thats their special bonding time together - checking out the weather, looking at bugs, saying hello to the neighbors, etc. plus a little chance for me to sleep in. first errand was to get a box of donuts. it made me slip something easy on ariana - a L.L.Sport polyester track suit. its pink & beige that i bought a couple years ago from a loopie. pink nikes. byron actually prefers to see her dressed like this - comfortable & casual. i did dress it up with "its my party" bling tee. second errand with daddy was suppose to be to the bank & post office. they came back home to pick me up, somehow ariana talked him into going to the farmer's market. third to the bank, which happens to be in the grocery store, where i ended up doing the weeks shopping. dropped groceries off at home. number 4 carwash altho i was dropped off for a pedicure. this time i got the works - the spa treatment pedi. salt rub, mask, warm towels, massaged with the hot rocks, oil, topped off with white tips (french). ahhhh i only wished it was my whole body, but i'll take pampered feet any time. 4 o'clock rolls around and ariana is hungry for sushi. good luck finding a place open before 5:00. it ended up being perfect timing where ariana fell asleep in the car. by the time she woke up at 5:30 - the sushi bar is open. the dollar store is right next door its becoming a habit to go there right after eating. i got her rollers for barbie stylin head, and i might have an appt with "beauty" (thats her beautician name) tomorrow. ariana said "we could always get things at this store...becuz i said so." i thought becuz everything only costs a buck and daddy said it was ok.

MJ Platinum

ariana says to me "you always wanted a girl?... cuz you already have a boy (josh)." i tell her "yes". then she asks me "where do i get all my clothes from?" before you know it - she's answering her own question. "gymboree, janie & jack, gap and matilda jane." i wasnt surprised of the stores that we shop at the mall, but matilda jane is on-line or thru a trunkeeper show party. guess she recognizes the packages delivered via ups brown (truck) man. i was surprised she said mj becuz i usually dont dress her in it for everyday play. today she is wearing the latest order from MJ. this knot dress is from platinum label line, no name except PT121. size 4 but we should get a good years wear out of it or more, hence the adjustable "knot" shoulder straps. i grabbed it during the 40% online sale. shoes are from old navy.

Gymbo Line Mixing

what NOT did we do today?? play structure, water table, mow backyard lawn, eat snack - backyard picnic table, rollerblade (fisher price), soccer, ride bike (with training wheels), water plants and watermelon garden, ballet class tonight, and the list goes on...

kuya josh is getting ready for moving back to college. he washed all his x-long twin bedding - sheets, blanket, comforter in the new washing machines. they were brought in the living room to be folded. ariana got this idea "lets make a fort" with the great master fort builder himself kuya josh. she got her two pink chairs along with 2 dining room chairs, with joshua's clean comforter draped over them. i remember josh & jonathan making a fort in lola's living room. they used everything - sofa, chairs, blankets and pillows. the bad thing is - lola had to leave it up all week as they look forward to it the next day when they got there afterschool. of course they made improvements and additions to it along the way. hmmm wonder how long this fort will last at my house. josh needs his comforter back on sept 10th. from head to toe, ariana is wearing gymbo. its just each piece are from a different line. the basic white smock top is from lady daisy, pink shorts from ice cream social, and plaid pastel color shoes from spring rainbow.

Bandana Sand & Skies

ariana is wearing gap from sand & sky line. the bandana dress is a size 4, altho we had it in a 2 and wore it last year. it was too hot today for the play structure, so we filled the sand/water table up. as it cooled down, we washed down the cottage playhouse for tomorrow. i'm going to gear her towards the backyard. school started this week making our street busier. lucky we have the court for all her riding toys - bike, wagon, jeep. note - i'm feeling better thanks to my 4 hour doses of dayquil.
we're watching America Got Talent. a 75 year old comedian grandma lee came on. ariana said with concerned "oohhhhhhh what are all those cracks on her face? she has a lot of lines too." we told her those were wrinkles and you get them when you get old. "i dont have wrinkle cracks cuz i'm not old." apparently ariana has never met anybody looking old like what she saw on tv, so everybody must be considered young-looking to her. not even my mom lola who turns 88 next month. luckily white hair doesnt make you old to ariana either. i have ONE strand - i dont know that i may have more,josh hasnt pointed them out to me yet. byron on the otherhand, he grayed early. i always tease him by asking ariana "what color is daddy's hair?" so far her answer is black. when the day comes and she says white, grey, silver - he might start feeling old or buy a box of hair dye.
