Golfing Girls

one of the moms wanted to take the girls out for the day. i let ariana get dressed and ready by herself. i was surprised all the girls brought their purses and sunglasses. started out at miniature Golfland. the girls took a break at hole #10 - guess it was getting too hot. then finished the whole course and glad nobody won a free round at the last hole. afterwards they wanted ice cream cookie sandwiches at Cream. ariana passed out lollipops for the drive home. and they started analyzing a song playing on the radio.  i am pretty sure these girls had fun being together - but wore the momma out (sorry jeannette).

Thank You Dubs

warriors were up 3-1, just ONE more game for the championship. with a seasonal year of breaking several  records, it came down to game #7 "the final of the FINALS".

Happy BFF Birthday

started out at the new movie theaters with reclining sofa seats. so comfortable where people actually do fall asleep. we watched "finding dory", disney finding nemo part 2. walked around the mall for a little bit, then to BJs to eat lunch. ariana gave a stuff pusheen, warriors tshirt, happy food mix and a drawing. i'm telling you  if you guys ever want to know what your kid wants - ask their friends. these girls know exactly. ariana wore a linen romper from Zara - with crochet sleeves.

Finals Game #5 Lost

we lost this one at home, only because we're missing draymond green. he got suspended from playing after accumulating several flagrant fouls. this time lebron james had stepped over him in game #4, and dray took a couple swipes. then the nba ruled it a flagrant afterwards, where lebron received a tech for taunting, funny that no foul was called at the game. lebron and the cavs went crying to the nba, and the suspension was handed down the next day. imo i think the nba is trying to prolong the finals for money making reasons. 

Warriors Win Watch

 

the finals game #4 - this time we went to the watching party with kuya. if the warriors had won game #3 and swept the finals - this would've of been for the championship. she  is wearing a custom from clara bella designs - you get to pick the disney princess in any team. at first we chose tiana, changed to mulan, and realized pocahontas looks more like her. too bad the new hawaiian princess moana isnt out yet. ariana brought Jade along too. american girls basketball outfit happens to be in blue & gold, then we borrowed buildabear hello kitty shirt.

BFF Girls Day Out

since we werent able to get all together the last day of school, one of the aunties took the girls out to lunch. guess ariana didnt get the memo to wear jeggings & a tee. shes been wearing casual clothes all week, where she wanted to dress up for a change. this time in the gap dress with sandals (1-1/2 inch heel). it started with 5 girls. Sar was brought home first. she asked the girls "who needs the restroom?" of course ALL of them got out so they could go in the house. Aud had to be dropped off next to make dance studio auditions. the 3 left went to Cam's for awhile - what was suppose to be an hour, received text for another half-hour. at a point, i thought it was going to turn into a sleepover. ariana was next. we wanted to take pictures of the 3 girls with the purple/gold leis. we asked them - outside or inside? inside of course, only so they could extend their playdate and moms could chit-chat. another hour - it was time to bring Nao home...and then there was one. these girls saw each other every day at school, 3 are in same classroom as ariana, the other 2 together in another. and now that school is out - they dont want it to end.

Outta Eastin

theres no such thing as a 5th grade graduation, unless the elementary school goes up to 6th. lets call it a 5th grade promotion - going from elementary to middle. although one year they did a little ceremony for the soon-to-be middle schoolers. its basically up to the teachers how they want to commemorate the year. sending out announcement cards for this milestone. 

Warriors Watch Party

the nba finals game #3 is in cleveland. they opened up the oracle arena for fans to view the game on the jumbotron. $20 tickets and $10 parking went up for sale on monday afternoon. when else can you experience the roarcle energy without paying an arm & a leg.

Last Day School

usually the last day is a minimum/ half day - well not this year for elementary schools in the district. we had a class breakfast in the morning as the teacher handed out the promotion certficates. each kid wrote one word that described each classmate. one of the parent moms generated a poster. a kickball game of 5th graders played against 4th & 5th grade teachers, then lunch, and another our to go. the teacher went on maternity leave in april. mrsC was the substitute teacher for the remainder of the year - a couple months. mrsC had to leave early to attend the middle school graduation, and luckily the teacher came back as the substitute for the sub. we usually hang out or go someplace to treat the kids. half of the kids had to leave early to attend the graduation too for their older sibling. and we had the warriors watch party to go.

Pool Party

this is the long awaited "5th grade pool party" for the past 2 years. being one of the main reasons why ariana wanted to learn how to swim and be comfortable in the pool. she didnt want to be the kid afraid of water and sitting out. for girls - only one piece bathing suits allowed, no bikini nor tankinis.

Da FINALS

the warriors won game #2 of the nba finals vs cleveland cavilers. kuya got us the shirts when they clinched the western conference playoff game vs oklahoma thunders. plus he was able to score the finals hat that were handed out to the players - which are sold out everywheres even online. we put ariana through a photoshoot and added the strength in numbers to it.

Field Day

field day this year fell on one of the hottest day reaching over 90 degrees. fifth grade time slot was 10:15-11:45, followed by lunch. ariana and her bff's got their nails, henna and face paint. she usually doesnt like it on her face and lets them do something on arm/hand. ariana noticed kids getting the warriors blue/gold logo, and decided to go pink. notice her sf giants hat in pink too. ariana happens to be wearing a nike pink ombre top and nike shoes to match. thats my girly girl and a half. nuthin' but pink!

Glow Jam Social

5th grade social, a little get together party for them. the parent committee decorated the cafeteria last night covering the walls with neon paint splattered on black paper. we had a dj playing all the latest hits and a photobooth too. ariana is wearing an outfit from justice, with some white to glow in the black-light.

The Finals

the nba finals start tomorrow june 2nd at the oracle arena in oakland - the golden state warriors vs cleveland cavilers. its the 5th grade social on thursday, so i had her wear the shirt today for PE prep.
