Fall Back to School

thanksgiving break week was short lived since we didnt go anyplace. dad had to work and i had eye surgery. first day back is always hard - especially since we let her stay up late and completely forgot to prep for going back to school. the bay area got the much needed rain storm to clear/clean the air from the Butte Camp fires. a thermal cropped hoodie from forever21 (cancun) and hollister ripped jeans. and yes, silver hoop earrings.

October Cousins

Bye Bye Biscuit

not sure if you guys know this - but we aren't fond of animals, let alone dogs. the only pet we have is an aqua turtle in a 40-gallon tank. when we visit friends and family, they would either put the dog in another room or outside. with all the times going to arizona, ariana got comfortable with Biscuit and has a new best buddy. she gives him all the attention since they brought home shelby.

Straight Up Paula

first things first - bagels from einsteins. cinnamon raisin is ariana favorite where i settle for an avocado toasted one. headed out to the fall harvest festival in chandler later on. one of the reasons for this weekend getaway to arizona was tickets to see paula abdul. ariana had no idea who she was, not even knowing one song. remember paula started out as a laker girl and choreographer back in the late 80's, to a judge on american idol. we mostly packed rompers for this trip. for the day, ariana is wearing one that i originally bought for me from target. then the one to the concert is  from nordstrom rack.

 

Warriors FHN

its the golden state warriors filipino heritage night 10th anniversary game. they have been using our family picture that was taken at a previous fhn event on their website. unfortunately we are out of town this year, and not able to attend. hope we can make it to FHN2 in march.

Play Ball

catching the first flight out to phoenix early in the morning, we  headed straight to the ballpark. we were able to watch CousinJ play in a high school tournament. he was catcher in the first game, and pitched in the next one. years ago i specifically bought this jersey at target - to actually wear when we go watch one of his games. i ended up putting our last name on the back (via cricut machine). she wore it at the family reunion last year in south carolina too. good thing we brought along the BTS kpop hat because its still hot out here.

Smokey Mask

a fire broke out in Paradise - east of Chico and 200 miles north of us. the towns is 95% destroyed and 5% contained. grew to 70,000 acres in 24 hours since thursday morning. we woke up to smoke filled skies and really bad air quality throughout the bay area. ariana remembered she has a mask from an anime convention. some kids wore the ones you get at the doctors office.

Got Ramen?

Forever21 has these novelty shirts, and i hate to pay full regular price. i only grabbed this ramen bowl one because it was on clearance in cancun mexico.  and perhaps even cheaper when you convert pesos to dollars. black ripped hole pants from hollister, and hi-top vans.

Donut Worry

i think AuntieJ got this top, knowing how much ariana loves sprinkled donuts. wearing with high waisted jeans from Garage. kuyaJ is washing the adidas superstars which explains the pink shoes for a change.

Animal Day

not a single animal shirt in her wardrobe. so this sanrio hello kitty will do for the animal spirit day. pusheen headband took place of her usual cat ears, and since someone forgot to bring the stuffed pusheen.

Sport for Spirit

with halloween falling on a wednesday in the middle of the week, spirit week was broken up. living in the bay area, we have many teams to choose from. being big warriors fans, she had plenty outfits to pick from. stephen curry #30 jersey and curry3 shoes. boys in her class noticed them being "fresh and white" thinking she just got them for spirit day (actually 3 years ago). ariana told them "i just keep mine clean!" Go Warriors!!
