Tres Chic

These knit dresses from gymbo are comfortable for ariana to wear - even on a rainy day. It's from an old line Tres chic, back when I was shopping gymbo alot in 2007.

Josh got a job at a medical device company. He was hired to work as an assembler. On the second day, his supervisor introduced him to management saying "this guy with a masters doesn't belong on the line." Josh was put in quality control, and promoted the following week. When he came home from work, ariana said "a beard! you must really be a job work man." Before he was considered not a full grownup yet. Ariana called him a "colleger", then a "masters" when he was working on his thesis. 

Green & Navy

Hoping to reach 70 deg sunny skies by this afternoon, altho rain is expected on wed. Its only 50 deg in the morning, and I dress her accordingly because Dad walks to school on Mondays. I go to the gym and it would be too much if I walk in the morning & back, workout, and pick up in afternoon. Ariana is wearing a gap dress - pool priorities. It's my new nautical combo - green & blue. she insisted on getting the headband, where I think it's a different shade of green. But it served its purpose, as she just went to the salon yesterday. I wasn't on top of it as usual, and it took 3 people to comb it out. Believe me, I left a really good tip. Ariana told her teacher not to sit her next to this one boy, or else he would be playing or pulling it. It's kinda hard to sit behind a girl with long hair - it's tempting to touch it. Can you imagine if she had curly boings - like Shirley temple?? 

This week has been full of crazy drama in her class - kids crying, tattle tailing, etc. they were told to leave the drama outside of the classroom. one girl told another that she didnt like ariana - because ariana is TOO nice. i doubt ariana will turn into a mean girl just to please one. or maybe we're misinterpreting what she meant by "too nice"?? perhaps the way ariana looks or dresses. who knows.

Crown School Girl

Whenever the weather gets warm, ariana wants to wear what she calls her big girl outfit from justice. its not summer yet and we're barely going to hit 70 degrees. so i let her wear the justice back to school outfit. this time with her black/silver swirly TOMS. they are size 1 with some room even with socks, she's not into the fitted way.

Ever After High

This is the Everafter high tshirt we gave for valentine day. It's apple white (daughter of Snow White) and Raven Queen daughter of evil queen. She has been wanting to wear this to school. Paired it with a gymbo skirt and hanna leggings. Ariana changed into her Toms for dance afterschool. The girls were asking where she got her tshirt. "I don't know, my mom just gave it to me for valentines." Funny because I don't even remember - either target or walmart??

My Valentines

This is a custom dress planned especially to wear on valentines day. its actually a shirt from carters size 6X. and 3 layers of ruffled skirt sewn on to it. at first ariana wasnt feeling it to wear black, but i convinced her its okay and "hearty" enough looking. the class is having a little party with their kinder buddies, then pass out cards to each other. each kid decorated their own mail box at home, most used a shoe or tissue box. due to the healthy food snack rule, they are going to do an art project in lieu of a party. paint a heart on a tote bag using a pencil eraser. after school, the mommies made extra vday goodie bags for the kids. i just kept picking up stuff - one for you, one for you, etc. every day ariana kept wanting to go to target to get the lalaloopsy velvet b. mine doll. she thought it would only be available til today. little did she know, that i already purchased 3 of them for the girls. last month, lalaloopsy came out with pet pals. they made a monkey named Tickles B. Nana. of course this was meant for her. i call her chim chim, the monkey from speed racer, and her family nickname is "nana".

Red Nautical

My plan was for ariana to wear red the whole week for valentines day. But remember she wore the two sweaters dresses for chinese new year & national red day heart disease. We are expecting sunny skies to at least 70 degrees. I had to factor in the warm weather and PE prep. Why I had this Nautica brand dress hanging in with the winter wardrobe?? Probably because the long sleeves, and come to find they're tabs to roll them up. Paired with red leggings from gymbo and running shoes for PE.

Styling Sequins

Not sure what they are doing in PE since square dancing is done. The all-star list was posted, and ariana is relieved she didn't get picked. All stars kids have to perform at assemblies and at the concert. Ariana doesn't need another routine on top of Filipino, afterschool dance and cheer. No rain, but it's partly cloudy in the low 60s. Ariana is wearing sequin-lines black top from pumpkin patch, with Janie & jack black ponte pants (size 7).

Cable Knit

I love cable knit sweaters, must be part of the nautical fisherman style. Funny I don't wear them myself. I had grabbed this one on sale last year in a bigger size at Gap (small 6-7). Not sure if there's more rain today. It hasn't rained for months in California, and now the governor declared a drought. We finally got a lot of rain over the weekend where we even passed the 2 month average. It's called the Pineapple Express storm since it's coming from Hawaii. Ariana is sporting her new trench coat from gap. The tights and boots are from gymbo.

National Wear RED

National Wear RED day for women heart disease. I just got this sweater cowl neck dress at target (Cherokee brand). It was on clearance probably from their holiday line. Ariana wore red last Friday on Chinese New Years. Hope we have some red for next week - valentines day. 

Walk & Roll

Ariana rode her scooter to school. Each kid was given a dot to place it in their section on how they got to school. She placed her dot in the ROLL section.
