Celebrate 31

on the months that have 31 days, B&R baskin robbins offers $1.50 per scoop. we went out to eat a light dinner to save room for dessert afterwards. ariana had her usual vanilla with rainbow sprinkles in a waffle cone, mom picked chocolate thin mint, and dad got a double.

Second Day Seventh Grade

second day of school - we should call it "wish i could sleep in" day. ariana set her alarm for 6:30. funny she snoozed it 3 times - not getting out until 7:00. as long as shes ready to leave the house 8:00 - i'm good. this is from nordstrom last chance (phoenix). its a spaghetti strap with attached top - not to get dresscoded. paired with justice shorts which have to be longer than your hands/fingers down the side. sporting her new pair of low converse that you can slip on. topping it off with black flower lined cat ears. the compliments are already starting - one of the teachers noticed and liked the shirt.

First Day 7th School

middle school seventh grade. gone are the plaid skirts and dresses for first day of school outfit. this time around was a pair of justice skinny jeans, and a light hoodie top with mesh trim - from her new favorite store Garage. paired with leather shoes from nordstrom. accessorized with rose gold cat ears and a fur ball keychain. ariana is all donned in light pink, i guess she's still my baby girly girl.

carpool crew. they all meet at a bus stop sign in front of office. when everybody is accounted for - they walk together to "da island". its actually a court with a tree area in the middle. so instead of dealing with the cars & traffic at the school - we pick the kids up here.

Last Day of Summer

we went to the school to map and walk the schedule. good thing we did. most 7th graders get lockers in the North cluster. now i need to drop off on the other side of the school, where theres a gate leading directly to it. plus she ended up with a middle locker too. practiced the combo too - remember to turn to the right, go counter clockwise & pass the first number, then clockwise to last number. afterwards we checked out this new boba place joy4tea - theyre known for a split cup for 2 different flavors. theres a wall full of post-it notes too - neat and colorful. 10 o'clock bedtime.

i have a housekeeper, i got the notion that i needed help when my sister moved. this will be the first monthly cleaning since the initial one. last time she just did the living room carpet, we didnt want all the rooms to be "wet" at the same time. today i rented the RugDoctor vacuum shampoo - for the bedrooms. it worked and got out most dirt & stains, but i really think it needs to be replaced. my next task was to go through ariana's shoe collection. i put them in groups and took a picture - then totaled it up. came out to 60 pairs plus 7 flipflops. she only grew out of 3 of them and maybe 5 pairs for her to grow into. good thing they all fit in a garage cabinet.

Family Farewell

celebrating uncle steven's life, married to my cousin who is one of ariana's Godmother (ninang). Steve died suddenly on August 11th collapsing near the end of a mountain-bike ride. our heart aches for Ate Auntie Ninang Lulu and their beautiful family. 

Sewing Sno-Crave

Sewing lessons ended up being a field trip to Joanns fabric store. ariana looked through the pattern books and learn how to get them out of the big file drawers. she ended up picking 2 patterns - one for her, one for the dolls. omgosh - patterns cost over $20. they used to cost less than $5. afterwards we went to sno-crave (shaved ice cream).
