Winter SNOWflake

uh where was i ... friday night we arrived safe & sound at the cabin. after the kids were put asleep - we went to Harrahs. what was suppose to be a couple hours of gambling, ended up an all-nighter at the roulette table. we all came ahead winning $100 or more. when i came in the bedroom, byron asked me what time is it. i looked at the alarm clock - 5:56. not sure if the clock was right so i went to go check. yep 5:56, basically 6:00 in the morning. thank God we didnt sign-up for the 7:00 am snowboarding trip at the ski lodge. it left the meadow in the backyard all to the 2 girls. it had snowed in the middle of the night, so there were some areas with soft snow. ariana got comfortable stomping in it. byron only had a couple of trips to pull the sled. the girls threw a couple of snowballs and that was enough for one of them. ariana chose to stay outside like it was a sandbox full of snow. she built a snow cake in the shape of a volcano. byron pulled some icicles off the house and used them as candles. shes wearing a gap pink snowbib with a gymbo coat from 2008 candy shoppe line. i had got these snowboots a couple of years ago... just in case an opportunity comes up i'm prepared. they are a size 9 and a pain to get her foot in. at least they work to keep her feet warm & dry. Saturday night - i think the few hours of sleep finally hit us. we had talked about driving up to reno for the kids to play at circus circus, while the adults gambled down below. talked about going out to eat pizza - then realized that everybody had brought all this food to cook. i brought 3 lbs of hamburger meat - they mixed it with some eggs for "trailer patties". beef & broccoli was the other dish. dinner. as much as we all wanted to go back to the casino tonight, we all just went to bed. Sunday morning everybody was up. made breakfast. got the kids fed. ate. started packing up. took ariana out back in the meadow for a photoshoot. then she played out front while everybody was loading up the cars. all of a sudden she started crying - her hands were cold and stinging. brought her inside and patted her hands with a warm towel. she got her snow fix for the day, no need to stop at the snowpark on the way home. ariana's whole outfit is gymbo winter snowflake.
