With it being barely 40 degrees this morning, it calls for a hoodie from JoKoy's comedy concert.

BTS Hoodie

this hoodie was a Xmas present that I had purchased online. I liked the heart scribbled image. until she got to school, her girlfriends pointed out it was "BTS love yourself".

Pajama Day

Last day to kick off winter break. wearing fleece pajama pants that she sewed for xmas gifts last year. paired with a matching thermal hoodie.

NASA

time to bring out all the long sleeved tops. nasa crop hoodie (forever21) along with curry shoes.

80's Rock

Attended an 80's theme party for a 40th birthday. a retro-colored "love live" jacket and pony tail pink scrunchie.

Aunties Golden Anniversary

Auntie B and uncle celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. her three kids and family came into town. how great for Ariana to get together with her cousins. she chose to wear what we call her "promo" outfit (top & skirt), the one from H&M for 8th grade promotion (grad). 
I was only 7 years old, my other sisters were the maid of honor and flower girl. although I remember wearing a rainbow chiffon dress that I had spilled some punch on. 

Life Map

For English class, a life map is a visual representation that describes who you are. you can use words, drawings, stickers, photos - anything that describes you, family, would like to become, hobbies, etc. most importantly the life map should reflect YOU! 

• Family - big warriors fans. Pet aqua turtle
• United Airlines - loves to travel especially to Hawaii & Paris
• Fashion Designer - learning to sew
• Artist - loves to draw on ipad pro

• Anime - attends expo

Friday Freshman

No dress codes in high school, hence the shorts and mesh cropped top.

First Day High School

OMG freshman ninth grade high school! school starts at 8:15, but needed to get there earlier to pick up final class schedule (teacher & room number). this was my only saving grace - I was a parent volunteer to hand out schedules. you have to show your student id card to get in, no parents allowed. even I got stopped and carded, where we had to call the office to let us through. Ariana picked out linen shorts & top from forever21, platform steve madden tennis shoes.

Freshman Orientation

Its about to get real - in one more week she will be a freshman 9th grader in high school (my alma mater). the link crews will do activities and tour the campus of 4,000 kids.

• Class schedule (teacher & room not shown). Copies of required completed forms.
• Take picture for photo identification card
• Locker & combination assigned
• Pickup books (keep in locker)
• Chromebook. Agreement signed form. * purchased insurance
• ASB sticker card (online payment receipt). *purchased Yearbook
• PE uniform clothes (online payment receipt)

BTS Shop

We got some shopping done while on our summer vacation trip - in wash dc, nyc and Chicago. to kill time between my appointments, we headed to the Great Mall. hit H&M, Forever21 and Garage. we even stopped at a goodwill to "thrift shop" too.

Community Service Hours

you need 20 hours of community service hours for high school graduation. these freshman girls got a head start at one of the elementary schools. after putting in 5 hours, they were treated to sushi for lunch.

Cemetery Visit

we went to lincoln cemetery to find out about placing a tombstone for Byron's mom (passed away august 2016). we knew dad's was near a building and by a big tree. i was walking about 2 rows up, and byron was looking close by. all of a sudden - ariana says "is it theodore morgan??" we feel it must have been a "sign" and that dad lead her to it. the office had given us the locations of other relatives (grandparents and auntie josie). we walked up and down each row, come to find out that theres no tombstone. some families just never get around to getting one. perhaps they feel a tombstone is a mark as their "final" resting place. Rest In Peace.

Prince Archie

We are fascinated with Englands royal family. the baptism of prince harry and megan Sussex's son - Archie Harrison Mountbatten Windsor.

National Portraits

The national portrait gallery was on our list for this trip to the DC. to see the paintings of president Obama and michele. They are the first presidential portraits by black artists -  kehinde wiley and amy sherald.
